Ruth Reeves Lane, age 83, of 277 Manry St. Edison, GA 39846, passed away July 5, 2007 at Calhoun Memorial Hospital in Arlington, GA. Mrs. Lane was born in Early County, GA on January 20, 1924 to the late Will Reeves and Emma Hayes Reeves. She was owner of Lane Drug Co. in Edison, GA and a Homemaker, and spent the past 63 years in Edison, GA. Mrs. Lane was a member of Edison Baptist Church, was a member of the Edison Lions Club, Church Hostess and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Levi (Billie) Lane and is survived by: 2 sons, Mayor Reeves Lane, Edison, GA. Charles W. Lane and wife Liz, Roswell, GA; 1 granddaughter, Lauren Stoklosa and husband Steve, Leesburg, GA; 3 great grandchildren, Anna, Joseph and Jana Lane Stoklosa- all of Leesburg, GA; 1 brother, Edward Clark Reeves and wife Mary, Columbus, GA; 1 sister, Katherine Finch, Tallahassee, FL. Funeral Services for Mrs. Lane will be held Saturday, July 7, 2007, 3:00PM at Edison Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Williams and Rev. Gary Meadows officiating. Interment Salem Cemetery, Edison, GA. Visitation will be Friday night from 7 until 9M at the funeral home. Arrangements by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, Inc. 229-723-3421
