Family-Placed Death Notice
LESTER, Sidney Homegoing Service for Mr. Sidney Lester will be held Friday, December 12, 2008, 11 a.m. at Greater Springfield Baptist Church, 721 Jones Ave. NW. Rev. Tracy B. Wheeler Sr., Pastor. Interment Westview Cemetery. Survivors are children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Leftridge (Claudia), Mr. Gary Lester; grand and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Herschel Thornton Mortuary, 3346 M.L. King Jr. Dr., (404) 691-4685.

We were truly blessed to have had such a man like Deacon Lester as a part of the Greater Springfield Missionary Baptist Church family. He always exhibited such a caring and calming spirit which was evident whenever anyone was in his presence. Be assured that we are all praying for your family and I know that God has called one of his faithful soldiers home.
