Steve Granade (Stephen Paul Granade), beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away at home on September 16, 2025, in Alpharetta, Georgia, at the age of 76.
Born on July 2, 1949, in Mobile, Alabama, Steve was the son of Joel Granade and Rebecca Watts. He built a life defined by dedication, curiosity, and love. A proud supporter of Georgia Tech, Steve worked as a mechanical engineer, a career that reflected his lifelong passion for learning, problem-solving, and innovation.
Steve's faith was central to his life. He was an active and devoted member of Saint David's Episcopal Church in Roswell, Georgia, where he found both community and strength. Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, Steve's joy was found in the things he loved most, his family, his church, cheering for Georgia Tech, and his appreciation for Star Wars.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; his son, Paul, and daughter-in-law, Kara. His memory will live on in their hearts and in all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at Saint David's Episcopal Church in Roswell, GA, on October 4 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Saint David's Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice in Steve's memory.

Had known Steve since Sandy Springs High School days. On the football field as well as a fellow musician in "Jimmy Granade and the Explosions" (yes, LOL) and "The Seven Sons of Soul." He was a very good bass player. Kept in touch with him through the years, a great friend.

Steve has always been one of my favorite cousins and friends. Steve and Kathy have always been a blessing in my life. Family is so important in spite of people not getting together like they used to. Knowing my cousins has always meant the world to me. Steve would often reach out just to check on me. Life is too short, not to know your cousins and your family and bring them with you on your journey through life. I thank God for mine and for Steve and Kathy. I thank God fort my lifelong relationship with my cousin. My heart is breaking. May God be with all of you during this time. We will see him again one day. He was one of the good ones. Love you all.

I first met Steve when he became part of my usher team many years ago. After Rox and I returned to St David´s after our 12 year hiatus in Denver, I greatly enjoyed serving as LEM with Steve. God has now healed his knees and he´s walking strong in the presence of Jesus.
