Family-Placed Death Notice
DETCH, Steven Steven Andrew Detch, 59 of Woodstock, GA passed away on February 18, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Janet, two sons, Andrew of Colorado Springs, CO and Samuel of Ann Arbor, MI, and his parents, Andrew and Helen Detch of Lewisburg, WV, and brother Michael Detch of Morgantown, WV. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 22nd from 4:30 - 5:30 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA 30075. Following the visitation a Memorial Service will be held from 5:30 - 6:00 PM. Visitation will then continue from 6 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenbrier County Public Library, 152 Robert W. McCormick Dr., Lewisburg, WV 24901. To Steve's family, i was so sad to learn the news of Steve's passing, I called his telephone recently and was worried when i couldn't get ahold of him and looked here and saw the sad news. This would mark our 30th year of friendship, I'm so sad to hear of his passing and sadder to think of all the years that he was sick, but glad that God kept him with us as long as He did. Steve was such a wonderful friend and I'll miss him so much and miss his always positive attitude and fun and unique take on life. Mr. and Mrs. Detch, you certainly raised a wonderful and intelligent beyond belief and wordly son. I want you to know how loved he was by so many people here in Chicago. Steve, Janet, Andrew and Sam and the entire family are in my prayers and thoughts daily. God bless.

Our sincere condolences to everyone in the Detch family. We will keep your family and particularly Steven in our prayers. We remember our meeting before Andrew and Diane went to Prom together. Good memories.
