Your nephew thinks about you often and hear you laugh more than that. I love you and your family misses you. This past year has given me much time to remember why you are soooo important to me and our family. You are a rock that held together many things that are hard to do now. Thank you for being in my life. Love you.

MY DEARLY BELOVED AND MISSED SISTER THALIA RENEE HOLLIS JOHNSON
On February 7th, 2007, the day my sister Renee went home to glory to be with our Father which art in heaven, which was a sad day for me. It was sad because she left her earthly body and I did not see her anymore and I could not hug, talk, hangout and laugh with her (like before 2/7/07). I know that out of the body is to be present with the Lord (which is a beautiful thing); my sister Renee and I were very, very, very close. We shopped vacation together; talked on the telephone 3 or 4 times a day and we spent our holidays together as well.
Even though, Renee had breast cancer, she (RENEE) said by Jesus stripes I am healed, (if GOD said he would do, it will come to past and his word goes non void). The battle was not Renee’s battle, but the Lord’s (not saying Renee lost the battle, because she did not. Renee did not leave this world from cancer, but from a congestive heart failure, her body was tired and God needed an ANGEL.
Renee was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, (of course she cried when she was first told by her doctor (but she took it to the Lord in prayer). She was told that she had an aggressive type of cancer – in spite of: (By God’s grace and mercy and the strength he gave her, Renee worn a beautiful smile on her face at all times).
Renee would have been cancer free, but in 2005 it reoccurred and it metastasized to her liver. Even though, my sister is not physically here (oh my God, I miss that girl so much). I know Renee is in a safe haven with GOD – even though she is not.
God gave us 46 years and 11 months with Renee or we can look at it like: he also gave us 6 years and 11 months with Renee with her dealing with cancer ( she could have gone home to glory in 2000 when she was 1st diagnosed, but God gave us 7 years and 11 months). God is sooooooooooooooo good.
I love and miss you so very, very much, and I will make sure that I have my house in order, so that I will see you again.
Love,
Your sister
Lynette

Just as my mother says, "Not only was she my sister, she was my bestfriend, also". I feel the same. Not only was my aunt Renee' my aunt.. she was also a close friend. I would call Renee' with every exciting detail in my life- even the minor ones such as getting the opportunity to leave class early or getting a good grade on an assignment. What I miss most is having someone to talk to and to get the extra help I needed on things going on in my life. I find it very hard to believe that she isn't here. I often catch myself caling her cell phone in excitement and slowly coming back to realization that she is no longer here. The night before last, I had a dream about my aunt. I dreamth that she came back for only a day. To handle her business, to see all of the family, to tell Taylor that she's alright and she'll see her soon. The dream was so realistic, I kept waking up throughout the night just to see. Recently, I finally took a trip to visit my brother in Tampa (by myself) in celebration of her. Celebration of life is what she was about! Renee' I miss you sooooooo much and wish more and more that you were here. I love you

God is so lucky to have his angel back. Renee loved angels, maybe because she was one. She was so strong and she always exhibited a positive attitude. She was so optimistic and we laughed at almost everything. She got my jokes and understood me. She always gave me good advice. She was such a blessing. She endured my practical jokes. I miss her. She was one of my best friends. Her advice helped me to be the person that I am today. My condolences go out to all of her family and friends.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Renee’s Family,
I am so very blessed to have known Renee. She was a very special person in my life. We came together as sisters in the fight against Breast Cancer, in 2000 when we were both diagnosed. Renee first called me to find out how I was doing, and told me that she would also be going through chemo and radiation. We found each other as a safe place to talk about how we were feeling, and we were always there to support each other.
Renee was always so happy. I couldn’t see her face, but her voice always gave her away. She was so proud of the support she had from her family. I could hear the love in her voice whenever she spoke about you.
Renee was such a positive influence on my life, and I miss her deeply. I believe that Renee was an Angel on this earth, and although I can’t understand it right now, it must have been time for her to be an Angel with God. Renee’s spirit will always be alive within my heart, and she has made me a better person by just knowing her.
With my deepest sympathies. I will hold you in my thoughts, in my heart, and in my prayers.

To the Johnson Family: I am sending my deepest sympathy to the family of a person I only met a couple of times. Both times were at the Food and Drug Administration, FOIA Training. I said a Prayer of Sympathy
to the good Lord up above,
To ask Him to console you
and comfort you with love.
I prayed for help to understand
the wisdom of His ways,
To trust that life is measured
by love and not by days.
I asked the Lord to give you
the wisdom and the grace
To know your loved one rests
In the peace of God's embrace.
Until that joyous promised day
when all of you will be
Enfolded in each other's arms
throughout eternity.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

In spite of her circumstance, I can say that she fought the good fight of faith. God is with her and through her strength others can overcome the battle. My prayers are with the family. As God says, "let not your heart be troubled". To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

I had the pleasure of working with Renee for over eight years in Atlanta. I spent many hours at her office laughing and making jokes. I will never forget her beautiful smile and contagious laughter... Just recently I saw her again, after more than 6 years, and it was truly magical... we spent some time remembering old times and sharing life stories. I also had the pleasure of meeting her handsome son, who now works for FDA. Words can not express how deeply sorry I am and how much I will miss Renee... who even miles and miles away touch my heart and soul in such an inspiring way. A few months ago she gave a beautiful plant from her office, and I took it home with me. It's now part of this family and in a way so is Renee. May God bless the Johnson family.

Mrs. Johnson was an extremely dear friend to me and I love her still very much. The news came to much a shock because she was such a survivor to me that I never acknowledged the idea of death. Her sweet character will always be with me and I will never forget her ever. I love her and I want everyone to be strong for her family. Nick I'm not really able to console myself right now so I can't even imagine how you feel. To her family take care and may God be with you.
