Thelma Mattox Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Homegoing Services for Thelma Mae Mattox of Marietta, Ga., will be held Saturday, January 28, 2006, 12:00 noon at the chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary with Rev. Herman Haynes, officiating. Interment Washington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel this evening (Friday) from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. She is survived by two children, Shelia Harrison, Lucius Gantt, III; four grandchildren, Rodney Gantt, LaSonja Gantt, Nzinga Gantt, Lucius Gantt, IV; three great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family and friends will assemble at 3182 Holly Mill Run, Marietta, at 10:00 a.m. Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc., 1876 Second Ave. (404) 371-0772-3.

We have been friends since we were five that makes 27 years
We have shared many moments of laughter as well as tears
Your house was my house and I was always welcomed
Your grandmother always gave her insight and her wisdom
She would get mad at us when we did things wrong
What I remember most was that the bond that you two shared was strong
As we prepare to say goodbye; let us hold steadfast to the memories;
Of Thelma Maddox and the woman, God predestined her to be
Ann, only time can heal the loss of your Mom but I can honestly say
Her spirit will forever live and you will see her again in Heaven someday
God wanted her by his so as we prepare to say goodbye
Cherish each moment spent with her and influence she had in our lives
God thank you for sending an Angel named Thelma who gave us all love
She will be missed as she ascends her flight in the kingdom in the heaven above
