SOLOMON, Tim Tim Solomon, Age 63, died on April 22, 2017, as the result of a cycling accident. He was the devoted and adoring husband to Sandy, wife of 38 years, and exceptional father to Geoffrey and predeceased son, Stephen. He is also survived by mother, Edna Solomon of St. Louis, and siblings, Robbe, Russell, Katherine, Richard, and Nicholas. A Principal with Atlanta-based CF Real Estate Services, he helped direct the acquisition, finance and asset management of multifamily units throughout the US. Prior to this he was VP of Multifamily Operations for TriMont Real Estate Advisors, managing a portfolio for Lehman Brothers, UBS, and Fannie Mae; worked as VP Acquisitions/Asset Management at LNR Partners, and as VP of Acquisitions/Finance for Wilkinson Real Estate Advisors. Tim earned an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from SMU, a BA from Principia College, and held the CIMM designation, and a GA Real Estate Broker's license. Complementing his business accomplishments, he was a founding member and on the board of directors for the Atlanta Real Estate Collaborative, a group of individuals working to find solutions for housing the homeless. Tim loved to sing. From leads in musical comedies to classical and modern music, he used his voice to bring joy to so many. A member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, under Robert Shaw, Tim recorded and performed in Atlanta, Carnegie Hall, and most recently at the Kennedy Center in DC. He also sang in the chorus of the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. An active member of the Atlanta Kiwanis, Tim served on the board of the Hillside Children's Home, and worked on the annual fundraising campaign for the Woodruff Arts Center. His other passion was cycling. He and Sandy biked throughout the South and Midwest, including Ride Across Georgia several times, as well as Europe. Tim also loved history, and was an avid member of the Civil War Roundtable. Tim's kindness, friendship, big smile and memorable laugh will be missed, but the love he had for family, friends, and even those he never met, will not be forgotten. I just learned of Tim's passing after hearing a beautiful ASO w/Chorus perform Dona obis pacem by Ralph Vaughn Williams on our local San Francisco classical radio station which prompted me to think of Tim. My belated condolences to all in the Solomon Family and everyone else who were fortunate enough to know Tim as I did. May we all remember Tim, what a great guy and human being.

Tim was an amazing professional with the ability to balance working in commercial real estate to managing clients and relationships to deliver the very best. I recall walking the streets of NY where he pointed out that he performed in "Carnegie Hall", and I began to know the other side of Tim with rich performances and a great love of cycling. He was a wonderful man and we are richer for having known him.
Our prayers to his family during this difficult time. May he enjoy his wings and sing with the angels.

Tim will be missed. He was part of the percussion section in Jr. High & High School in Edw. I have never forgotten his shenanigans during band concerts and rehersals. I'm sure he continued to make beautiful music and brighten the world during his life.

I sang with Tim in the bass section of the Glenn choir for a while. Though it has been over 10 years, I still remember his kindness, gentleness, and authenticity.

I joined others in praying for Tim's recovery and am sad his service to others has been cut short. He died as a result of doing something he loved. His other love of singing will still go on as there is singing in Heaven, as I read Scripture.

While Tim's loss is great for his friends, fellow choir members, and other community members, it is greatest for his family. I pray for God's comfort now and in the future as you go on with memories of a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother.

He will be greatly missed by all. I wish you and your whole family the best as you navigate the days ahead. My prayers are with you.
