Virginia Carrollton Obituary

CARROLLTON (McNealy), Virginia Ann

Ann Carrollton of Tucker passed to the eternal kingdom on November 17, 2025. She was 85.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ann was a lifelong member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served as a church secretary. Ann enjoyed painting on wood, creating unique, whimsical decorations that she gave as gifts or sold through her small business. In her earlier life, Ann was an elementary school teacher in Dekalb County. Ann will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack Carrollton, and her parents, Kathryn and Pete McNealy, and her brother, David.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Matthews (Andy); and her son, Chris Carrollton (Karen). She has two grandsons, Justin and Aaron, whom she loved dearly. Services will be at Smoke Rise Baptist church on December 6, 2025, at 11 AM. The family will receive friends at 10 AM, prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to be made to the music ministry in care of Smoke Rise Baptist Church, Stone Mtn., Georgia. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com. Tom M. Wages Funeral Service, A Heritage Company, 3705 Highway 78 West, Snellville, GA 30039, (770-979-3200) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
