Family-Placed Death Notice
ANDERSON, Wendell, Sr. Canton resident Mr. Wendell T. Anderson, Sr., age 79, of Canton, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. from the Margaret McFather Chapel at the First United Methodist Church of Canton with Dr. C.R. Hill and Rev. Ed Towers officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. Mr. Anderson was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canton, Canton Masonic Lodge # 77 and a past member of Canton Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and the Cherokee County Board of Education. He was a State Representative for 10 years and a advocate for the Cherokee County Training Center. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loving family. Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Dot Anderson; children, Patty (Tommy) Mann of Hickory Flat and Tommy (Mary Ann ) Anderson of Ball Ground; grandchildren, Chris (Kipling) Mann, Brad (Lisa) Mann, Amanda (Todd) Syprett and Lindsey (Joey) Cochran; great-grandchildren, Addison, Ansley, Carter, Spencer and Wheeler Mann, Cameron and Reagan Syprett, Suzanna, Ben, Ellie and Marlee Cochran. Dot, Patty, Tommu and Family,
