BLACK, William William Hubert Black, age 89, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, April 18 in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Smyrna with Dr. Jeff Pennington and Rev. Phil Miller officiating. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. A native of Georgia, Mr. Black served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He received his degree in business from Georgia State University upon his return from Japan. Hubert Black was involved his church and community and has received numerous, highly esteemed awards for his service. He was an avid gardener and taught Bible classes for over 40 years. Hubert is survived by his wife Elizabeth Jean Black, his children and their spouses and families, Teresa and Tom Deas of Conyers, Georgia, two children and four grandchildren Bill and Arleen Black of Woodstock, Georgia and their two children, siblings Howell Black, George Black and Evelyn Johnson.
