I was thinking about Mercer and I looked Bill up today to learn this sad news. He was such a great man, lawyer and hero for his service to our country. He was older than I and I looked to him for wisdom which he always favored me with together with his smile. My deepest sympathy to you. It was an honor to know him.

We just now found out that Bill passed away in November. We are so sorry. He was such an interesting man and very dedicated to his work, whatever it was. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Diana Waldrop
Maureen we're so sad to learn of Bill's passing. He was truly a "hero" because of his military service in Vietnam. He never allowed his wounds to slow his pace in life, and he was just an outstanding lawyer. I was always so glad he was our friend. Our prayers are with you! Bill

Bill and I became friends over 30 years ago. He was one of the most honorable men I have known. I valued his insight, judgment and integrity. I will miss him.

Just saw in the Georgia Bar Journal that Bill had passed. So sad. We met our first year in law school. After graduation we litigated with and against each other. He was a good guy.
Bill, please tell Professors Bell, Clark, Fields, Rehberg, Wilson, etc., that some of us are coming later than others but that we'll all be there. See you then.
