Family-Placed Death Notice
FRANKLIN, Winnie Homegoing Services for Winnie Ruth Franklin, of Lithonia, will be held Friday, December 16, 2011, 11:00 A.M. at Greater Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, 50 Cleveland Avenue Atlanta, 30315, with remains placed in state at 9:30 A.M. Reverend Merrill Davis, Pastor, Reverend Alfred Davis, Officiant. Interment, Kennedy Cemetery, Ellenwood. The family will receive friends tonight, from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary. She leaves to cherish, devoted daughter and care taker, Chiquita Franklin; sons, Malcom; Andrea; Roderick; Christopher; Andre; Seigfried; granddaughter, Kenyada McKenzie; grandsons, Andre; Michaelo; Christopher, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 2201 Lowtrail Court Lithonia, at 10:00 A.M. Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc., 1876 Second Avenue, 404-371- 0772-3.

Chiquita, I know what it is like to lose a beloved mother. When I lost my mom, I found a measure of comfort in Psalm 27:10 which tells us: “In case my own father and my own mother did leave me, even God himself would take me up”. I hope that you and your brothers receive the comfort and strength that you need during this time and grief and loss.

What a Mighty God we serve Family. God always, always, picks the best for himself. Rejoice in knowing that your dear mother is at peace with her God and their "conversations" can now be uninterrupted. May the memories of "mom" carry each of you through the rest of your lives.
