Family-Placed Death Notice
KELLY, Winston, Sr. Funeral Services for Mr. Winston H. Kelly, Sr. will be Saturday, October 29, 2011 @ 11 AM at Springfield Baptist Church, Conyers. Rev. Eric W. Lee, Sr., pastor; Rev. H.K. Benton, Jr., eulogist. Remains will lie in state at 10 AM. Interment: Lawnwood. Public visitation will be TODAY from 6-9 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Covington. Survivors are: wife; Denise Polote-Kelly; mother: Jeanie M. Kelly; his sons: Robert (Lynn), Winston, Jr., Nelson, Michael (Windi, Jaye and Joseph; siblings Charles Kelly, Sr., Griselda McBride, Marla Kelly, Deborah (Melvin) Wood, Terry Kelly, Ellen (James) Gordon and Sheila Kelly; grandchildren, Dymone, RJ and Macail; other relatives. Cortege will assemble 10 AM at 60 Burdell Dr., Covington. Young/Covington (770) 786-2944.

Mr. Kelly always had a welcoming smile as he assisted the children from the cars in the morning. Even in wet weather he would have an umbrella to keep them from getting wet. May Jehovah continue to comfort his loved ones.

I remember Wimp, as we called him, from R.L. Cousins. I remember how friendly he always was and his smile was always bright. He was tall and walked with grace and dignity. I am glad he crossed my path.
