Cindy Pullen Obituary
Cynthia (Cindy) Rodgers Pullen, 75, of Boulder, Colo, passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2025, due to complications from cancer.
Born to Wayne and Anna Day (Schlieper) Rodgers, Cindy was raised in a family deeply rooted in love and strong values that served as the foundation of her life. Cindy's early childhood was spent in Des Moines, where she thrived amidst the block parties and the Norman Rockwell-like charm of the neighborhood. The family moved to Atlantic Iowa in 1962. Cindy graduated from Atlantic High School in 1968. She was an enthusiastic thespian who loved acting in plays, and she also contributed her talents to the yearbook staff as a writer.
Cindy graduated from Iowa State University in 1972. It was there that she met the love of her life, Daniel Pullen. Their 53-year marriage was defined by love, mutual support, respect, and the comfort of enduring companionship.
As an architect, Dan personally designed their mountain home, where they resided for forty-five years in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado.
Cindy had a thriving career that she enjoyed for many years. She worked for Royal Insurance, first as an adjuster and then in marketing for twenty years. She later formed her own business, Creative Markings, where she worked from home offering promotional products and strategies. She developed lasting friendships and her many colleagues and clients appreciated and respected her creativity, positivity, dedication, and unbeatable commitment to customer service.
The Pullen home is filled with books. Cindy had a passion for reading and a particular love for mysteries, which she shared and explored as a steadfast member of a mystery book club for many years. Equally cherished was her time at Walden Ponds in Boulder. Drawn by the sun and the solace of nature, she and Dan walked the trails there almost daily.
Driven by boundless passion and infectious positivity, Cindy dedicated herself fully to her work, family, and friends, becoming a true inspiration to all who knew her. In honor of Cindy, smile, find joy, and always stay on the bright side of the road.
Cindy is survived by her husband Dan; her two sisters, Marcy Hamilton (Steve) and Sally Rodgers (Bob Wilson), and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
The family is currently planning a gathering of remembrance of Cindy's life and will share details with her many loved ones at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, and as a tribute to Cindy's generous spirit, please consider a donation to your local blood bank. May others "flower in their need," just as Cindy did in hers.
