Darrell Gene Soe

Darrell Gene Soe was born in Atlantic, on June 28, 1934, the son of Otto and Laura (Neilsen) Soe. He passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Heritage House in Atlantic. Darrell is survived by his children: Joni Butts (Kevin) of Minden; Jeff Soe (Kim) of Red Oak; Troy Soe (Marcia) of Omaha; grandchildren: Nick Soe (Kelsi) of Winterset; Rachel Kocak (Kyle) of Lincoln; Tara Stanek (Tim) of Omaha; Matt Soe (Mary Kate) of Red Oak; Brandon Soe (Kristin) of Omaha; great-grandchildren: Kennedy Kocak, Hudson and Olivia Stanek and Drew Soe; sister, Marsha (John) Brown of Malvern; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Rosemary and sister, Shirley Albertsen.
A Celebration of Life will be held for 89 year old Darrell G. Soe of Elk Horn on Monday, April 22 at 3 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Kimballton. Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery, Elk Horn by the Kimballton AmVets Post No. 51, Elk Horn American Legion Post No. 322 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard.
