Karolyn Ortgies Obituary
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wednesday, April 10 at 11 a.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle with a luncheon immediately following the service. Private family burial will be in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Adel.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, April 10 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle from 10 to 11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family or be directed in Karolyn's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Ortgies of Massena.
The Lamb Funeral Home in Massena is in charge of the professional arrangements. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lambfuneralhomes.com.

Karolyn was a younger cousin and my sister and I spent many wonderful times as kids with her family and lots of other Petersen cousins nearby. Later years found us at cousins' reunions enjoying special places and each other. She was a talented and gracious lady we loved a lot!
