Andrea Gindhart Obituary
1/29/1961 - 3/26/2017
Andrea Dugan Gindhart entered peacefully into her eternal rest on March 26, 2017 at her home in Cibolo, Texas surrounded by her husband and sons. She was 56 years old.
Andrea is survived by her parents Dr. Paul and Olga Dugan, her husband Richard 'Rick' Gindhart Jr., her sons Austin, Cole, Reece and Wyatt Gindhart, and her brothers Paul II, Alan and Robert Dugan.
Andrea was born on January 29, 1961 in DuBois, Pa. She graduated from Chico State University in 1983 and received her Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University.
Andrea married Air Force Officer Rick Gindhart in October 1986 at Saint Rose Church in Roseville, Calif. Andrea was a generous person who always contributed her time and talents to the communities in which she lived. As Andrea and Rick's family grew, they had the opportunity to live and serve our country in 10 different cities in Calif., Okla., Tex. Del., Ala., Hawaii and Guam, choosing to retire in Cibolo, Texas near Randolph Air Force Base.
Andrea was active with the Officer's Spouses' Club which raised money for charity. She was a Eucharistic Minister at the Randolph AFB Chapel, a Court Appointed Special Advocate for CASA of Texas representing the interests of children removed from their homes by Child Protective Services, a member of her HOA board, a member of the Randolph High School Band and Athletic Booster clubs.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on April 21, 2017 at Saint Rose Church in Roseville, Calif. at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Andrea's life. Please send all remembrances to Saint Rose Church at 615 Vine Ave. Roseville, CA 95678.

My deepest condolences to the Gindhart family. I was able to work along side Andrea at CASA. Her and Rick are beautiful people. She will be missed.

Andrea was a one of a kind friend, that I will miss always. From our days in high school to our days in college to our days as new moms, we shared so many memories. She was always optimistic and just made you feel happy to be in her presence. She loved her family like a Mama Bear and always tried to help people. She also knew how to just add "fun" to so many events. If we were going to a Margarita night in Chico, she would be the one to say, we need hats! When she came home to see family, she always reached out to me to try to plan a visit. I loved those days of sharing stories of how our lives changed over the years. I wish her family and her many friends many days of fond memories, however, I know the loss is great. We were all so blessed to have her in our lives. Wendy

Dear Dugan and Gindhart Families: My heart goes out to all of you as you grieve the loss of your beloved Andrea. Ever since her health battles in high school, I experience Andrea as one of the most positive, persistent, and courageous women I've met. She did not let her health limitations define her. I'm grateful my sister Wendy was so close to Andrea, which allowed me to get to know her as well. Blessings to you all during this most difficult time.

Such a blessing to have had Andrea in my life as a friend and cousin. The strongest woman I've ever known. A role model on so many levels. We didn't get to see each other often but we stayed in touch and I was able to see how blessed she and her family were to have each other. She is missed greatly!!! Love you Cuz!❤❤❤❤
