Mel D. Olson was born in Platt, South Dakota, on April 11, 1931, and passed peacefully on April 20, 2007. He lived in San Jose until moving to Folsom.
Mel is survived by his significant other, Pat Fuller, of Folsom, Calif, and children; Mike Olson, Tom Olson, Tim Olson, and Patti McCrary.
Your journey in life has been long, full of good friends, family and endearing moments. You made great friends over the years during your career with Pisano and Orowheat, delivering bread across the Santa Clara Valley. You were an avid 49ner fan, loved a good golf game and really knew how to cook up a great BBQ. This was a man who loved Folsom.
You have left an incredible legacy, one of strength, humor, friendship and love. You touched many people's life's. Your spirit will be in our hearts forever.
Funeral services to be held at Landmark Baptist Church, 609 Figueroa Street, Folsom, on May 12, at 4 p.m.

A smile on his face and a ..."I know you," as our Mel stepped out of his House on Wheels. Sly Park, Casa de Fruitta, Plymouth and of course Forty Niner Football games. Such warm fun times. And there were many. You will be greatly missed Mel. Fond memories and your friendship will remain in our hearts always.

Melville you are a man who came into my life when I was 16 years old. One thing that I have learned from you is that Family isnt about who's blood you have its about who you care for. Though we had are ups and downs you always been there for me and my kids. I'll sure well miss your ribs and all the good times we had at the horse show and 49ers games. love ya Lea
