Sheila was my mentor and friend and I will miss her dearly. As the school year begins I already miss being able to see her and fill her in on every detail of my new school and life. She and I shared so many wonderful times, but what I will always remember is her bright smile and the confidence she would build in everyone!

Mrs. Trimmer was one of my favorite teachers. She was so nice and friendly, a really great teacher. I remember in second grade, 3 years ago, I couldn't spell beautiful until she taught me to say "bea-utiful" and I've remembered it every since! I was so sad to find out she passed away and I will miss her very much.

Sheila was an amazing person. She had such a joy for life. When I was a new teacher 12 years ago, she was very supporting and helpful. Thank you, Sheila. Your rays of sunshine will continue to touch many people.

I am so heartbroken about the news of Sheila's passing. She was a fantastic Lady, a remarkable colleague, an outstanding teacher for her 'kids'... but mostly she was a a great friend of mine. Her smile and enthusiasm were contagious to us all at Carlin Coppin. I'll never forget all the laughs and all the support she was always willing to share with us all. My condolences go out to all of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her...but Heaven has a Special Angel now to watch over all the children that she always loved teaching. ~Love You Always Sheila~

Mrs. Trimmer was truly an amazing teacher. I am so glad my daughter was able to have her for second grade. She always encouraged her students to do the best they could...she was and
still is an inspiration to all those she touched. She will be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family.

Mrs. Trimmer was my second grade teacher. Not only was my life touched by her, she was my favorite. When I found out that Mrs. Trimmer died of cancer, I was terribly sad. I couldn't believe that she was gone. She was the one who taught me math, grammer, etc. Her memory will always remain in my heart. She was always peppy, outgoing, and had alot of energy. She was always out on the track at Carlin C. Coppin, she is the reason I am into Cross Country, she was always out gardening at the school, I remember the year I was in her class, we grew tomatos, lettuce, and when we picked them, we ended up eating salad from the store. :) I have alot of memories of her, and will always cherish them.

Our family was fortunate enough to have had Mrs. Trimmer twice for second grade. Once for Todd, and once for Cami. Mrs. Trimmer made each and every student matter no matter what walk of life they came from. Each student walked out of her class room with something special. I will miss her spunky happiness, her love of children, and life. She taught because that was what she was meant to do, not because it was a job. She truly touched everyone who came into contact with her.
Don, Chris and boys, we are truly sorry for your loss.

Sheila has been a true inspiration because her lust for life was infectious. When I think of all the children she influenced, I know her presence will continue to inspire. I hope you are running marathons in Heaven, Sheila.

I would like the family to know what a wonderful person Sheila was to work with. I worked with her from 1994 to 2008. She laughed with me and she cried with me. She was ever so caring when my daughter passed on and gave me a special Angel plate because she said it reminded her of Julie. Now she is with her and in no more pain. Again I am so thankful for her presence in my life. She will be missed!!
