William Swanson Obituary

William (Will) Carl Swanson
07/13/1987 - 09/08/2015

We are heartbroken to announce that William (Will) Swanson died unexpectedly on September 8, 2015.
Will was born in Folsom, Calif. on July 13, 1987. He graduated from Folsom High School, UC Santa Barbara, and Georgetown Law School. He was working for the Marquez Law Group in San Francisco.
Will was known for his quick wit and keen intellect. He was never happier than when he was hanging out with his friends, playing games and laughing. In Will's short time with us, he touched so many lives with his humor, his sensitivity, and his instinctual desire to help the underdog.
Will is survived by his parents Mary and Dave; his brother Matthew; grandfather Carl; aunts and uncles Cathy Barry, Karen Swanson, Jim and April Barry, Erik and Rebecca Swanson, and Dan Hoven; and cousins and friends from far and wide. He will be missed by us all.
Special thanks to his teachers throughout the years, who helped to challenge and develop Will's love of learning and logic.
A memorial will be held on September 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rotary Clubhouse at Lew Howard Park, 7150 Baldwin Dam Road, Folsom, Calif. 95630.

I just found out about Will's passing two years ago and am so sad to hear the news. We lived in the same dorm freshman year of college and he was such a genuine, thoughtful and kind friend. His heart was so generous and I remember him always being there for me. Sending my love to his family. He is missed.

So sad to hear the news. We first met Will freshman year of college at UCSB in San Miguel Dorms. He was always so friendly and positive. He will be missed. In honor of Will we donated $180 to the American Diabetes Association. Sending our love to his family.

I went to high school with Will, and he was my senior ball date. I'll always be thankful for the kind, funny, person he was. He made it a night to remember, and I was lucky to have a friend like him. Rest in Peace Will. The world is going to miss all that you had to offer, which was so very much.

This is, indeed, a terrible tragedy. I know both Dave and Mary from work, and they are such wonderful people. Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Will, I do know he was raised in a kind and loving family, who I also know will miss him more than words can say. My heart goes out to you all!

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Kind and loving words can help heal your hearts at this time especially from a loving God of comfort (Isaiah 57:15) Sincerely, JT
