David Joseph DeLorenzo

November 25, 1932 - April 24, 2025

David Joseph DeLorenzo, 92, passed away April 24, 2025. He was born November 25, 1932, son of Joe and Marie DeLorenzo, and married Margeret (Pinckney) on July 21, 1956.

Dave lived in Auburn, NY until 1977, including working for Auburn Citizen covering sports and city hall. He then worked for the American Bowling Congress in Milwaukee, WI, until retiring to Florida in 1999.

Dave is survived by his wife Peg of Barron, WI; his children, David William Joseph (Jackie) DeLorenzo of Venice, FL and Mary Beth (Joe) Waldo of Turtle Lake, WI; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Fond memories of Dave growing up in Auburn. He was a fixture at our home growing up .My father Leo was very fond of Dave,they worked on the Sports Desk at the Citizen together. Peg and family my thoughts and prayers are with you. Dave RIP

I played Baseball on the same team with Dave back in our younger days. I was in the finals for the Bowling. championship of the Citizen Advertiser Paper and Dave was the Announcer. Dave was a friend and A True Gentleman Gentleman My Prayers and Condolences are with Peg and Family.
