Grace M. (Bauso) Granato
AUBURN - Grace M. (Bauso) Granato, 92 of Auburn passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (D'Eredita) Bauso. Grace was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Alphonsus Church. She previously worked for Red Star and Auburn High School. Grace enjoyed her weekly Wednesday night gatherings with her lifelong girlfriends, aptly nicknamed, the 'Club' for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children: Margaret 'Meg' ( Richard) Rice of MA, Robert Granato of Auburn, Carol Ann Granato of NJ; seven grandchildren: Lucas (Izzy) Rice, Kate Rice, Sam (Kara), Nick (Ashley), Jessica (Grant), Jacob, Isabella; four great-grandchildren: Nora, Allie, Nicholas Jr. and Gabriela; a sister, Mary; brothers: Phil (Carolyn), Tom (Alison); sister-in-law, Marie; brother-in-law, Bill (Renee) Granato; daughter-in-law, Jeannie, several nieces, nephews and cousins, her loving caregivers Sanom and Bill Potter, who have become part of her family. In addition to her parents,
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Paul, her son, Paul Jr. and brother, Dominic Bauso.
Calling hours were Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated by her husband's cousin, Father William Donnelly, Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
