August 2, 1938 - September 21, 2025
AURELIUS - Helen "Karen" Brambley, peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by family on Sunday.
A lifelong resident of the Auburn area, she was married to Robert Brambley on August 8, 1959. She had retired as the Business Manager for the Union Springs Central School District, with twenty five years of employment.
A great reader in retirement, Karen enjoyed being with family. In earlier years attending sons sporting events. She loved her Grand children and was known for singing them nursery rhymes. Also an avid NY Yankees Baseball & Norte Dame Football fan. A lifetime member of St. Mary's Church.
The daughter of Raymond and Blanche Cholette Harmon, she is survived by her husband, Robert and their children, David (Nancy) Brambley, Fleming, Dana (Cathy) Brambley, Queensbury, N.Y., Michael Brambley, Newark, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jackie Brambley, Christine Brambley, Corey Brambley, Maddy Brambley; sisters, Maureen Walsh Auburn and Marjorie Hemans, Auburn; in-laws, Donna & Tim Campbell, Phil & Linda Brambley; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter in law, Linda, brothers in law, Michael Walsh and Charles Hemans.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday Sept 29, 2025 at 11:15 a.m. at St Mary's Church 15 Clark Street Auburn with the Reverend Frank Lioi, as celebrant. Interment will be in St Joseph's Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held also in St. Mary's Church from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to her funeral mass.
