Helen L. McIntyre
AUBURN - Helen L. McIntyre, 66, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Sunday July 21, 2024 at Auburn Community Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Auburn, she spent the last 42 years of her life going to work (day hab) thru ARC now Mozaic. She enjoyed her day hab immensely and loved her Clark St. Rd. Program family with all of her heart. Days were finished with drop off at home where Helen could be heard yelling "Bus driver move that bus."
She loved Elvis Presley, and bowling with the ARC where she won many awards and medals. Helen enjoyed Camp Columbus. Her jewelry and hats were her life. Her wheelchair could often be found with her backpack stuffed with as many possessions that she could fit.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers over the last 30 years that made it possible for her to stay in her own home.
Helen is survived by her three sisters: Mary and Pam McIntyre and Dawn Thomas. She was predeceased by her father, mother, Bette and brother, Robert.
Graveside services for Helen will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024 in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles. A gathering at Dawn's home in Marcellus will immediately follow the service.
Condolences for the family may be left at www.plisfuneralhome.com.

I was very sad to hear about the passing of Helen, go to 182 DayHab with her sister Mary Sharon, I also knew her brother Robert, Helen´s up in heaven looking down on her friends and family saying remember me with smiles and laughter for that´s how I´ll remember you all but if you can only remember me with tears then don´t remember me at all.

I´m so sorry to hear Helen passed... I used to work for ARC and was her bus driver... she had such an amazing laugh and she loved to play "where is Helen" by covering her face and pretending she had left the bus. Rest in peace sweet lady you will be missed
