James Head Obituary
November 17, 2025
James Edwin Head, 70, of Millstream Court, passed away on November 17, 2025 surrounded by family and friends.
He was an accomplished bowler, tractor pull enthusiast, avid sportsman and member of several local trap shooting clubs.
Most of his career was spent employed by several local farmers and as a mechanic at Fillmore Golf Club until his retirement.
He was a 1974 graduate of Southern Cayuga County School.
He was predeceased by his wife Mona (Clark) and his father Raymond C Head.
He is survived by his daughter, Sally Hagen (Mike) Carson; sons, Jason (Amy), and Derrick (Lorie); his mother, Shirley J Head; his brothers: Raymond C, Jr (Valerie), Kenneth, Joseph (Pam), Daniel (Barb), Robert (Vicki); and sisters, Barbara (Lyle), Donna and Darla, and several nieces and nephews
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Moravia VFW on Saturday, November 22nd from 1:00-5:00 PM with a dish to pass and stories to tell.
Donations may be made to 4-Town Ambulance or CNY Hospice in Jim's name.
Central New York Cremation Service of Moravia is assisting the family.
