Linda Davidson Obituary

On November 26, at the age of 82, Linda Mary Davidson (née Corcoran) beloved wife of Frederic M. Davidson, daughter of Raymond Earl Corcoran (deceased) and Kathryn Louise Corcoran, née Gabriel (deceased), loving mother of Susan (Michael) Chavanne and Julie (Narendra) Rocherolle, loving grandmother of Lauren (Tyler) Pauly, Erin, Nicolas, and Sophie, and beloved sister of Ann (William) O'Hora, passed away peacefully at home.

Linda was born in Auburn, NY. She graduated from Holy Family grammar school and Mt. Carmel High School where she made lifelong friends and kept ties to Auburn. She moved to Rochester, NY to study at Nazareth University where she received her B.A. in 1965. While in Rochester, she met her adoring husband and partner of 57 years and was married in April of 1968. She and Fred subsequently moved to the Baltimore area where they raised their two daughters.

Linda returned to school and received a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in 1990. She joined the Immaculate Heart of Mary school in Towson, Maryland in 1988 and taught computer and technology classes there until 2006. After retirement Linda volunteered for many years for the food pantry at Our Lady of Grace parish in Parkton, Maryland.

She was an avid reader, a dedicated and thoughtful letter writer, and enjoyed a good walk outside on a pretty day. Linda loved traveling near and far with her husband, Fred: to visit local festivals, to see her daughters and grandchildren in New York and California and to explore many countries in Europe, especially France and Italy. Her sister Ann was a frequent and much loved travel companion.

Linda will be interred in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Auburn, NY in December, 2025.
