Lynne Marchitello Obituary

Lynne Ann Marchitello

May 24, 1957 - November 7, 2025

Lynne Marchitello, aged 68, of Dunedin, Fla., passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. She was the eldest of four children born to Shirley (Germano) Marchitello and Vincent R. Marchitello of Auburn, N.Y.

A proud graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 1975, Lynne continued her education at Cayuga Community College.

Known for her adventurous spirit, Lynne left Auburn in the early 1980s to begin a new chapter in Rochester, N.Y., where she worked for Eastman Kodak. She later settled in Dunedin, Fla., where she retired from the City of Clearwater.

Lynne inherited her fathers athletic talent and excelled in a variety of sports. Her weekends were filled with music and adventure - attending concerts and often finding ways to meet the performers she admired. Her passion for music was unmatched with a deep appreciation for artists such as Janis Joplin, Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge, and her favorite, Janis Ian.

Lynne cherished time spent with friends relaxing on the beach or kayaking to the scenic islands of the bay area. Her vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Throughout her illness, Lynne exemplified unwavering love and devotion to her mother, Shirley, consistently placing her mother's well-being at the forefront of her priorities.

Lynne is survived by her loving mother, Shirley Marchitello; siblings, Michele Humphrey, Kim Joyner, Vincent J. Marchitello; aunts, Chickie Germano, Beverly Germano, and Sharon Germano-Teasedale; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Vincent R. Marchitello; and uncle, Anton Germano.

In accordance with Lynne's wishes, a private memorial gathering will be held to honor her life.
