KING FERRY - Born Dec. 17, 1928, Maureen entered into rest on March 25, 2019 at the age of 90. She was at her home of 20 years in Lockport, N.Y.
Maureen was born in King Ferry, N.Y. where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of Marian Farley Dempsey and Henry Dempsey. Maureen married Orin Leslie May (predeceased). She had two sons, Douglas John May and James Leslie May.
She is survived by her son, James May; sisters, Karen Spadero and Cheryl Quinn; along with eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
Maureen was predeceased by a son, Douglas May; sister, Joan D. Hutton; and brother, Robert D. Dempsey.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, King Ferry, N.Y. Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. William Moorby, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
