AUBURN | Maxine E. Powers, 81, formerly of Nelson Street, died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Auburn Community Hospital.
The daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred Jacobs Lick, she was born in Cortland on Nov. 23, 1933. She was a graduate of Moravia High School and had previously worked as an x-ray technician, and a nurse's assistant at Auburn Nursing Home. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Church.
Maxine is survived by her two daughters, Suzanne Powers and Nancy Cardinale, and a son, Kevin (Elizabeth) Powers, all of Auburn; five grandchildren whom she adored greatly, Anthony and Joseph Cardinale, Jordan, Emily, and Nicholas Powers.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn. Friends are invited to call on the family from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to service at White Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Attention Autism Support, in care of the Cayuga Seneca ARC Center, 1083 Waterloo Geneva Road, Waterloo, NY 13165.
