Pamela Jean Burroughs
AUBURN - Pamela Jean Burroughs, 83, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025 at her home on Osborne Street. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Farr) Warner. A graduate of Auburn Central High School, Pam was married to the love of her life, William H. Burroughs, for 67 wonderful years.
Pam devoted her life to her family, cherishing her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In later years, she worked as a receptionist at Cayuga Counseling, where she greeted everyone with her warmth, charm, and quick wit. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind spirit that touched all who knew her-especially her family.
She found great joy in listening to the early artists of country music, especially Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle and Charlie Pride. Pam embraced the challenge of a good crossword puzzle and enjoyed baking (especially brownies, cookies, and anything chocolate), and had a lifelong love for animals. A new addition to her family, her sweet kitten Bella, brought her great comfort and companionship in her final weeks. Pam also enjoyed collecting MacKenzie-Childs pieces and eagerly looked forward to attending the famous Barn Sale each year.
Pam and Bill's love story began at Reva Roller Drome, where they met while roller skating - a pastime they shared as partners on and off the rink for life. She also loved gardening, especially tending to her beautiful hydrangeas, and found joy in crocheting and knitting blankets for her grandchildren.
Pam is survived by her beloved husband, William H. Burroughs; daughters Terri (Brian) Eggleston, BillieJo (Matt) Decker, and Lynn (Jeffrey) Smith; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her sister Tanna (Carmen) Fiduccio; life long friends, Lorraine (Bob) Canino; sister-in-law Phyllis Dadabbo; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Lori Burroughs, and her brothers Charles, Steven, and David Warner.
Per Pam's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Condolences for the family may be shared by visiting
