Sherry Chayka Obituary

It is with deep sadness to announce that our beautiful angel, Sherry Lyn Chayka passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23rd at the age of 61.
Everyone who knew Sherry fell in love with her. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially her coffee, soda and candy. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Her eyes would light up whenever her favorite people came to visit. She will also be remembered for her love and excitement during the Halloween and Christmas seasons. She especially loved Santa Claus, who she affectionately called "Ho-Ho."
Sherry is survived by her loving parents, Donna Krueger, Bernard Chayka; her stepmother, Susan Chayka; her sisters: Shelly Janssen (Doug), Jill Chayka, Kaylee Chayka (Shawn Mitchell) and Amy Miller; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and great-nephews.
Sherry's family would like to thank the many care givers she has had over the years and especially would like to thank the staff at the Auburn Nursing Home for the wonderful care she recently received.
Immediate family and close friends are invited to Calling hours on Tuesday, May 6th from 10:00-11:00 am and Funeral Mass immediately following at Sacred Heart Church, 90 Melrose Rd., Auburn, NY.
Donations in Sherry's name may be made to the Auburn Nursing Home Recreation Fund.

So VERY sorry, Donna for all the heartache that you and your family have suffered for all these years.
