The family would like to thank all of those who paused to think of us--Dad had so many friends that he had earned durring the course of his life which have comforted the family, and your comments about his sense of humor, quick smile, honesty and personal ethics are a reflection of the man we knew and loved-- Thank You again for thinking of us as Dad made his transition

Today I learned of the passing of you father and friend from many years. I was fortunate to have know you Sid and Bob as your wrestling coach. Through you, I meet your parents. I know how much you both ment to your father. As you may know we moved to North Carolina a couple years ago and have not seen you or your father in several years. You have and always will remaind in our hearts and I pray that your father is in a far better place and some day we will all see him again. I will miss Sid's smile and warm greeting when our passes crossed, he was such a gentleman. Till we meet again, Bill And Andrea Walters

To me, my Grandpa Sid is legend; he carried himself with a certain mystique that would brighten any room. His smile and laughter was infectious and he would do anything to make you happy, no matter how silly it was. He was brilliant and had so much wisdom to share. I always remember waiting for him to come home during lunch from farming just so we could "wash up" together. It was a highlight to get to ride with him on his tractor and the scent of hay and gasoline is a fond memory. I recall following him on my bike to the fields. Mini-golf was never so much fun, and ice cream afterwards was always accompanied with great chats. Magic carpet rides, and psychic knowledge of when the stop light would turn green embrace my thoughts. I have letters and cards from you from when I was a child...they always meant so much to me, as do you. I am honored to have someone so special be my Grandpa and you live on through all of us. He is legend. I love you forever and miss you greatly.

To the Gilmore Family,
I was saddened to learn of Sidney's passing. I knew him to be a gentle, quiet man. Bob, you were remarkable helping your dad through the past several months. I know it was hard but you were always right there making it easier for your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Ro Herbert (nurse practitioner at Dr. Tinsley's and Dr Boufal's)
