Thomas Woods Obituary

Thomas Woods

June 18, 1952 - September 3, 2025

Thomas Woods passed at home on September 3, 2025. Tom was born in Auburn on June 18th, 1952, to Richard and Mary Woods. He graduated from Mount Carmel in 1970.

Tom loved family, friends, movies, books, theater, baseball, and Kathy.

Tom and Kathy were married on June 16th,1984, at Emerson Park. The ceremony was outdoors, the bride and groom in jeans and handmade polo shirts. There was a cookout, swimming, a puppet show, and softball. Tom was very much like that celebration; unpretentious, simple, modest, joyful, and full of love. He was patient, kind, and selfless.

He is missed by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Mandy; sons, Fred and Bill; grandchildren: Chelsey, Taylor, Sydney, and Bobby; sisters: Lynda, Nancy, Patty, Betsy, and Katie; brothers: David, John, Don, Jimmy, Rick, and John; and many more family and friends. He was and is a miracle.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, September 10th from 4:00-6:00 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn NY.

In lieu of flowers consider a donation to the American Cancer Society for the prevention and fight against lung cancer.
