LANCASTER, Pa. - Timothy Allen "Tim" Saunders, 43, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at Lancaster General Hospital after a long illness.
Born April 28, 1973 in Auburn, N.Y., he moved to Lancaster, Pa. in 1985 with his family. He is the son of Ronald A. and Nancy E. (deBeaumont) Saunders of Lancaster.
A 1991 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, he also attended HACC Lancaster Campus and Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Tim worked at Mindspring and the BBC in the Boston area. Tim enjoyed working with computers and solving tech issues, creative writing, and cheering for his favorite Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Wendy, wife of Randall K. Nolt, of Gordonville, and a nephew he adored, Zackory. He was also loved and will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins, residing in New York, Florida, South Carolina, and California.
Tim was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orlie R. and Doris L. (Rawson) Saunders, and maternal grandparents, Paul J. and Mary L. (Baraczek) deBeaumont.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by the funeral at 8 p.m. with Rev. Daniel O'Brien officiating, on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will take place at noon Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn, N.Y.
