Virginia Marie Schillawski

February 12, 1949 - June 19, 2025

Virginia "Ginger" Schillawski 1949-2025. Ginger, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 19th at the age of 76.

Born in Orwell, Pa on February 12, 1949. Ginger was the second of nine children born to David and Sarah Monell. Ginger will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and strength. She dedicated her life to her family. She was a mother, dairy farmer and salesperson. Ginger was also an avid flower gardener, quilter and a talented baker. She always had ginger snap cookies on hand for family and friends.

Ginger is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Edmund G. Schillawski. By her children, David Schillawski, Thomas (Daisy) Schillawski, Christine (Steven) Girmus, and BryanSchillawski. By her grandchildren, Edmund (Alexis) Girmus, Kathryn (Ryan) Hulbert, Erica (Will) Firglewski, Lauren (Ray) Wade, Maverick Schillawski, and Yasmine Schillawski. By her great grandchildren Violet Artiga and William Firglewski. She is also survived by her brother, sisters, cousins, and many nieces, and nephews. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
