Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. at the chapel of Thomas L. King Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2018 with Dr. Gene Johnson officiating.
Family members include 2 sons, Tim and Ted Mays; 2 sisters, Janie Overton (Joe) of Williston, SC and Melisa Lee (Troy) of Cummings, GA.
The family will receive friends 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service.

I had the honor to meet Alvin for the first time at the PHS memorial service back in May. His message was very moving. Sitting next to him I could feel his kindness and sense of care for community and the world. He has touched so many lives in countless ways with his tenderness and shining smile. He will truly be missed. May he Rest In Peace.

We have lost another "Golden Generation" member. He has gone on to his heavenly father after many years of hard work. I thought a lot of Alvin. He has always been so helpful to me for telling of family history on both sides of the family. To all family members I wish you peace and serenity in your time of grief.
