Angela Christine Spence White

Student / Teacher DANIELSVILLE, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, September 18, 2003, Mrs. Angela Christine Spence White, 27, wife of the late Mr. William James White. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2003 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Augusta, with the Rev. Robert Fain, the Rev. Dr. J. Andrew Menger, the Rev. Stephen Britt and the Rev. Susan Terry officiating. Interment will follow in the church memorial gardens. Mrs. White was a native of Augusta and had been living in Danielsville for the past few years. She was a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia. In 2000 she received her Masters Degree with honors from the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Georgia and was presently working toward her Ph.D. in English. Mrs. White also taught freshman literature at UGA. She was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd, Augusta. Survivors include her mother, Cissy Murphy Bowden and stepfather, Dr. Talmadge A. Bowden, Jr., Augusta; her father, Jimmy Spence and stepmother, Mary Ruth Spence, Thomson; one stepbrother, Tripp Bowden, Atlanta; three stepsisters, Jodi Bowden Baker, Goldsboro, N.C., Kelly Evans and Brandy Shelton, Thomson; maternal grandmother, Martha Murphy, North Augusta, S.C.; paternal grandmother, Mary Frances Spence, Augusta; step maternal grandmother, Mary Teston, Thomson; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter Angel Fund, P.O. Box 453, Danielsville, GA 30633; The Church of the Good Shepherd Building Fund, 2248 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904; or to the Holy Cross Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 211, Thomson, GA 30824.
