Annabelle Hicks Obituary
Mrs. Hicks was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Augusta, Georgia. She retired from the Kendall Company. She was a member of Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church.
Survivors include three devoted cousins, Sara Lyons, Elder Reatha Lewis and Elder Gloria (Elder John) Dunbar; three brothers-in-law, Rev. Willie Hicks, Booker T. (Clara) Hicks, Jr., and James L. Coleman; five sisters-in-law, Laura B. Chalmers, Carrie L. Hicks, Linda Coleman, Betty Coleman and Rose Tate; a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may visit the residence or the residence of Elder Gloria (Elder John) Dunbar, 203 Merriweather Drive, Graniteville, SC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

A tribute to Annabell Elliott Hicks:
Annabella, a classy Christian lady of faith who was kind, giving and sharing. She had impeccable taste and style and wore the most fashionable hats. Annabells style influenced many young ladies in the community where she lived. A most recent memory I have of Annabell was a speech that she gave at the Horse Creek Day Community celebration. She talked about living in the Horse Creek Community during the days of Jim Crow and how our families survived through faith. She encouraged the youth in the community to always have faith and trust God. Her words still resonate in my spirit today. With a tone of conviction, Annabell said, Just ask Him hell help you. Annabell has traded her mortal hats on earth for her heavenly Crown in Glory. Annabell, Rest In Peace.
