Retired Librarian AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Barbara Bailey Avrett, 83, entered into rest Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Brandon Wilde. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday April 21, 2006, in Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. Mrs. Avrett was a native of Rutledge, Morgan County, Georgia and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Bailey. Mrs. Avrett attended North Georgia College, graduated from Augusta State University, and retired as the Librarian at Georgia Regional Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta, where she attended for sixty years, taught Sunday school, and assisted in cataloging the special library. Surviving are her husband of sixty three years, Milton M. Avrett, Jr., a daughter Barbara Hock, three sons Milton M. Avrett, III, Charles B. Avrett, and David L. Avrett, thirteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 20, 2006 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
