Bertie M. Edmonds

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, March 22, 2005, Mrs. Bertie Meeks Edmonds, age 95, of Augusta, wife of the late Oscar Edmonds and daughter of the late Samuel M. Meeks, Sr. and the late Ethel Tula Jaynes Meeks. She is survived by a son, Herbert Meeks of Lee Summit, MO; two daughters, Mary Carroll and Florence Jones, both of Augusta; ten grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was born in Hart County, GA but has been a lifelong resident of Richmond County. She was a housewife and of the Pentecostal Faith. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, March 25, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in the Langley Cemetery in Langley, SC with Rev. Freddie Dempsey officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25 at the funeral home from 3 to 3:45 p.m., at which time the funeral procession will be leaving for the service at the cemetery.
