NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mrs. Billie Hamrick, 79, who entered into rest August 4, 2014, will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Barrett Alewine officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hamrick was a native of North Carolina, having made North Augusta her home for the past 59 years. She was a member of Belvedere United Methodist Church and retired as a secretary from North Augusta Middle School with over 23 years of service. Mrs. Hamrick was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling, baking and was an avid reader. Mrs. Hamrick was preceded in death by her husband Don Hamrick and a daughter, Shannon Filmon. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Morgan and Dick Robins, North Augusta, SC; a sister, Beth Stewart, Shelby, NC; four grandchildren, Josh Johnson (Emily), Brett Johnson, Grayson Robins and Caroline Robins; two great-grandchildren, Colton Johnson and Kylie Johnson. Pallbearers will be Eric Hamrick, Mark Hamrick, Todd Mullinax, Jason Mullinax, Dickie Hamrick and Jonathan Hamrick. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 until 8. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
