Ms. Roberts!
The energy that you brought to people was amazing and your smile always brought a smile to your student’s faces. And you have given them the hope, push, the confidence to push through obstacles that they will face in life.
You are truly a one of a kind person that will be missed very dearly. It is amazing how things happen in life when it is unexpected. But you are angel that was sent here to inspire our youth from the past, present and for the future. They will mention your name at least more than once in their life time; at least I know I have.
May You Rest In Peace, and be an angel to you students, family, and to your fellow teaches that you worked with.
I dedicate my Graduation to you and all the great deeds you have done to make me become the person who I am today.

Ms.Roberts was always so cheerful and I was happy everyday when I was in her class. I missed seeing her smiles and how she used to sing to our class. It's really sad that a teacher like Ms.Roberts has to leave us but I hope she rest in peace and know that We All Loved Her with All Our Hearts.

You will be missed General. I am a better person because of you. Joi said a prayer for you. Rest in peace Sand. I may call on you from time to time to gather strength and not blow up on those that do not keep their promises to our kids. It was an honor teaching and exchanging ideas with you over the last fifteen years. I will always remember you!

Mrs. Roberts was an icon at our school. She could make the toughest, most challenging students whisper "yes, ma'am" and "no ma'am" out of respect for her love and firmness. Her memory will live on at Everett Middle School by the staff and students who knew and loved her. We will miss her very much.

I remember the first time I met Ms. Roberts, she interviewed me for my current English teaching position. Funny how the first thing she said about me was, "Now, there's a teacher who drinks her coffee!" She saw in me my energy, my passion for teaching ... she instantly saw my potential and believed in me. When I heard of her passing, I was very saddened...what a loss to students. The next day, however, as I faced my most difficult class... I asked myself, "What would Ms. Roberts do?" "Believe in them!" I do.

Cassandra was a dedicated teacher who cared for her students deeply. She held the bar high for all her students and they rose to meet it for her. I taught with Cassandra at Everett Middle School and attended UC Berkeley for graduate school with her as well. Through both work and school I knew Cassandra as a caring, hard working and committed educator. Miss Roberts will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to the family.

What can comfort you?
When a loved one is lost,
When the pain is so great
And your world’s been tossed?

What can calm you?
When no words know how,
When the load is hard to bear
And you need relief right now?

What can guide you?
When you’re not sure which way to go,
When the mountain seems to steep
And you’re in the valley so low?

What can uplift you?
When you can’t see this trial’s end?
Only the arms of the Lord
And the prayers of a friend.

My deepest sympathy to Cassandra's family. I taught with "Ms. Roberts" at Everett Middle School in San Francisco and I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was a dedicated teacher and an inspiration to me. She was committed to service to others and dreamed what might be possible and then put her best efforts into following that dream. Her legacy is certainly the many children and adults she inspired to "do their best."

I think of the words of Ted Kennedy at times like this:

"The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dream shall never die."

I can best honor her life by following her example of trying to help others.

Miss Roberts will be missed by her students, the teachers, staff and administration of San Francisco Unified School District. I have many happy memories of working on group projects with her during our graduate studies at UC Berkeley. She was a dedicated reading teacher determined to help those who struggled in a classroom or jail cell.
Miss Roberts we love you and know you are in the kingdom of your faith. My prayers to your dear mother, sister, uncle and family.

Your face, your smile, makes it seem like 1981 all over again. Even after almost 30 years you would still be reconized any where you went so, you know you will be missed. To the family, bare your faith with GOD and know that she is not suffering but, gone to a better place. She will be missed by all.
