Dot and the boys,

My family and I are saddend by your loss. Charlie was like a father figure to me. He took me under his wings and taught me alot as my supervisor, collegue(after my promotion), friend and mentor. I will never forget the many times we would sing church hymns at work, he on one key and I on another. Charlie was one of those at the site that was indeed the wind beneath my wings and I thank God for his words of encouragement to follow my dreams. With him it was never a dull moment. Every so often he and J.J. Holmes (another collegue) would check on me and my whereabouts as I continue to travel the country with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr. He will be missed.

Dot, I pray your strength and that you walk in your Faith and in knowing that you have the Faith, God has the Power!

In Grace,

Axel Adams

I was so very sorry to hear of the untimely death of Charlie. He was a great guy to work with. I met him in 1988 and even today cannot think of him without smiling. He had that positive effect on people.

His life here was cut short, but, his memory continues to live in the hearts of each person who knew him.

May God's spirit console you during this time of your (and my) loss of Charlie.

Charlie was a hard worker and a great person. He always had time to listen and talk. I'm proud to say, he was my friend. He will be missed and never forgotten. God bless Charlie's family in this time of great pain. Sometimes we can not understand why things happen in or lives. That is why the Lord is here. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And not lean on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your path.Prov 3-5

PLEASE KNOW THAT YOUR LOSS IS SHARED

BY MANY FRIENDS WHO CARE, AND THAT YOU'RE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND HEARTS, AND OUR EVERY PRAYER.

MAY YOU FIND COURAGE TO FACE TOMORROW IN THE LOVE THAT SURROUNDS YOU TODAY.

MAY THE LOVE OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY BE A SOURCE OF COMFORT TO YOU.

AT THIS TIME OF SORROW , MAY THESE TRUTHS SUSTAIN YOU. IN KNOWING YOUR LOVED ONE IS AS CLOSE AS A MEMORY,

IT WILL BE THE MEMORY OF THESE LITTLE THINGS THAT HELP TO PUSH AWAY

THE PAIN, AND BRING SMILES BACK AGAIN.
