It is so sad to hear about the loss of my old friend. Remembering many fun Friday nights in the 70s spent with Dan and the rest of the Nipro engineers, drinking and dancing at Mr. Tom Cats in Augusta. I still remember how happy he was to meet the love of his life, Katherine.

I first met Mr Harkness through my son, Kane Bonnette, at Boy Scout meetings. Mr Harkness was present at my son's Eagle Scout ceremony. Later I met him at Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Concerts. We always sat in the back of the theater. He always had a smile. He was always a gentleman. He was a good example of what a Scout should be. He had a light that did shine.

Worked with Dan on startup of Section 35 and startup of Evergreen Nylon Recycling. We had fun during high stress startups.
