Deborah Grimes Obituary

Deborah A. Grimes, 47, wife of Terry A. Grimes, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at her home.

Born October 12, 1970, in Groton, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of Michael Lee Clark and Ada Estrella Clark. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was employed as a nurse with the August Arthritis Center for 14 years and more recently with Carolina Diabetes Center in Sumter.

Survivors include her husband of Sumter; parents of Augusta, Georgia; three children, Gregory Ryan Boyd (Heather), Lauren Katelyn Boyd, and Noah Jacob Boyd; two step-children, Teresa Renee Ellis (Daniel) and Heather Nicole Martin; two grandchildren, Scarlett Ellis, Landen Boyd, and Emery Martin; a brother, Michael Lee Clark, II (Cathy) of Warner Robbins, Georgia; and a sister, Dianna Fay Brown (Brian) of Augusta, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Augusta Stake Center, 835 Belair Rd., Evans, Georgia 30809. Burial will be in the Bellevue Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.

Deborah was one of my nurses at Augusta Arthritis for several years. She was very sweet and compassionate. She was a fighter. She will be missed.
