Mrs. Linda and family. I wish to express my sadness at Mr. Rountree's passing. I admired his humor, honesty, and courage, and will cherish the memories of many a middle-of-the night conversation up on the Bone Marrow unit. It was an honor to have been one of his nurses. May God rest his soul, and console you all.

Too many years past too fast and so often we lose contact with those we call friends. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

How gracious you both were during my visit in March. I shall never forget our short time together.
