Donna L. Pettit

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Donna L. Pettit resident of Augusta, died Tuesday morning at her residence. Mrs. Pettit was born in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Mark E. and Louise Moore Lamb. She had worked in the home health field and worked as secretary for the Southeast Georgia Experimental Station in Midville. Mrs Pettit was a member of Grace Independence Baptist Church and had been a faithful Children's Sunday School Teacher. Funeral services for Mrs. Donna L. Pettit will be held Friday, April 22, from St. Johns United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Bobby Taylor, Jr., and Reverend Pat Holbert officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery in Wadley. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lamb, Davey Lamb, Scott Oglesby, Keith Powell, John Powell and Donald Oglesby. Survivors include; Husband- William G. Pettit, Augusta, Ga.; Brother- Jack Lamb, Wadley, Ga., and 4 Sisters - Betty Anderson, Wadley, Ga., Ann L. Oglesby (Donald) Wadley, Ga., Judy Oglesby (Leonard), Midville, Ga., and Peggy Powell (John M.) Wadley, Ga. The family of Mrs. Donna L. Pettit will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home Thursday evening between the hours of 6-8 p.m. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home of Wadley.
