Dear Jayne and Joan:
I'll always remember your Aunt Evelyn and her big black Cadillac. How special I felt riding in that grand automobile. Please know how sorry I am for the loss of your wonderful aunt. She was something special!

I meet Mrs. Evelyn when she moved to Kentwood. Would stop and visit her every day as I would push my Mother through the halls there. I knew she loved her special music, and would start playing it for her every day. I would love to hear her sing her song, Show me the way to go Home. She was a special lady to me. I will miss her. To The Family:

Altough I did not see Evelyn much after my father and stepmother died in the early 1990's, I will always remember her fantastic sense of style and gracious demeanor. She was a loyal friend and she will be missed.

My condolence goes out to all of her family.

I didn't know Evelynn until 2003, but I fell in love with her when I cared for her in her home. She loved to sing and dance and tell stories about her travels around the world with her late husband, Scott Nixon whom she loved dearly. She was a strong and determined woman and lived a full life. May she rest in peace.
