I was very sorry and shocked to hear that Evon had died. When I think of Evon I Don't think about her dying ever. I met Evon when we worked together at Murray Biscuit as it was called then and located on Hale Street. We both packed Sugar Waffers and worked on the Joy line until the plant closed and moved to Marvin-Griffin Road. After that we both worked at the new plant for a while and we lost touched a little bit, but when we called each other it was as if we had talked yesterday. I am really going to miss Evon. She was a very dear friend. My prayers are with you all.

To my auntie Evon we loved you dearly but God loved you the most. There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe just how wonderful you were. You maybe gone in the physical but your spirit will forever live in the hearts of those that you’ve touched with your kind words and your loving smile. You will be missed greatly may you rest in peace.

Sheila and Family,
I am truly saddened by the loss of Auntie Evon. I didnt know her well but the during the years, the times that I spent with her were full of laughter. I always enjoyed talking to her at Malik's birthday parties. Let the memories of love and laughter from yesterday bring your heart comfort in the days to come.I will keep you lifted in prayer.

The Edwards Family,
I met Evon through Charles over 36 years ago.
Mostly Evon and I would see each other only once a year. On Jan. 1st, I would be the first at the house, to walk through, supposibly to bring good luck throughout the year.
Evon was more than a friend to me, I to have also lost a sister.
We were all brought up in the Church, and we know that through our belief in God, and with our prayers, our pain will not last long. We also know that she is with God and in a much better place.
May God look over and bless all of us in our time of sorrow.
