Gary Lawrence Obituary
Augusta, GA—Entered into rest on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, Mr. Gary Allen Lawrence, 71, husband of 52 years to Mrs. Linda L. Lawrence.
Gary was born in Erie, PA, he was a veteran of the US Army, serving 22 years in criminal investigation command as a polygrapher and criminal investigator. He earned two bachelor's degrees and a master's degree. Gary adored his children and grandchildren, especially the memories made at the family lake house. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Keith Lawrence (Mary) of Evans, GA, Julie Curran (Mike) of McDonough, GA; grandchildren: Sarah Lawrence of Evans, GA, Katie Curran of McDonough, GA, Will Lawrence of Martinez, GA and Maggie Curran of West Point, NY; siblings: Cheryl Pierce of Erie, PA, Candy Kossbiel of Cambridge Springs, PA, Connie Konkal (Ron) of Fairview, PA, Carrie Lawrence of Erie, PA and Bruce Lawrence (Laurie) of Edinboro, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Irene Lawrence.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. Amy Carpenter officiating. Inurnment will be at 2:00 P.M. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors.
